Dr. Elizabeth Miller kindly supervised our film
I have had a closer look at your Dracula DVD and here are my comments.
Overall, it is very well done. I applaud the decision to use music as background rather than voice-over, as music is an international language. I like the choice of music, especially folk and pan flute. Most appropriate.
I also like the way you avoid mixing the Dracula of history with the Dracula of fiction. You do not fall into the usual trap of claiming that the latter was inspired by the former. You stick to the historical and cultural material.
On criticism I have is that occasionally the scenes are too dark - especially with the overuse of stairwells and corridors in hotels. But on the positive side, the scenery is magnificent, especially along the Trans-Fagaras highway, a route I have never taken, even though I have been to Poenari 8 times - the furthest north I went on that route was to the power dam.
You have managed to capture very successfully the history, geography and culture of the region.
Thank you again for sending me a copy.
