• Those of you who love mountains will find great hiking and winter sport opportunities in Poiana Brasov, only15 km from Brasov City. From December by April, 10 ski slopes challenge its visitors down to Postavarul Mountain. Equipment rentals, ski trainers and modern infrastructure (including superb mountain sheds such as Cabana Postavar) are affordable for most of tourists.
  
  
• During winter you must avoid Fagaras mountains with its Dracula Castle, unless you come fully equipped. Even so, many hiking trails into Fagaras are closed from December by May. To reach Cabana Balea on top, the only way might be to go along Transfagaras Road. Indeed, the highest mountains of Romania are a challenging adventure, including for professionals.
  
  
• Bran resorts also offer you great hiking trails, especially along Bran Pass, in Fundatica village. Winter sports are not properly developed, although skiing across the wild valleys is possible if you have good practice.
  
  
• Sighisoara resorts give you the privilege to spend festivals or New Year’s party in the Medieval Town at Dracula’s Birth House, which today is a good restaurant. Hiking trails are also offered, although less spectacular comparing to the mountains’.
